Introduction When I was about 10 years of age, I was saddened to lose one of my older brothers from suidical depression and another still suffering paranoia schizophrenia to this day. Yes, I wanted answers. I gained some insight after studying abnormal psychology at university. In 1983, I was struck with CFS ie Chronic Fatigue Syndrome that was so debilitating that my life's activities were reduced by 80%. I felt totally helpless and hopeless. Medical specialists brought little relief. It was an alternative treatment that brought me back to my bubbly self. From 1983 till now, I have suffered another 3 relapses lasting more than a year each but each time I recovered with alternative treatments. I have to accept the fact that I am "genetically predisposed" to this medical problem but my "CFS solution" is helping me stay on top of it and in 2007 I helped my sister with this similar problem. It has also helped other friends.

CFS - As I See It The CDC of USA still considers the cause of CFS as "unknown". However, scientists will agree with me that the brains of CFS sufferers are deficient in the various types of neurotransmitters necessary for the brain, central nervous system (CNS) and autonomic nervous system (ANS) to function well. Deficiency of various types of neurotransmitters accounts for the wide spectrum of symptoms such as negative thinking like "spoilt records" to suicidal thoughts, lack of concentration, no appetite, sleeplessness, debilitating fatigue, depression, headaches and bodily aches and etc. Also the degree of deficiencies correspond to the severity of the symptoms. I shall call this ANDS ie Acute Neurotransmitters Deficiency Syndrome. Since the brain requires cellular energy (ATP) to synthesise these neurotransmitters, It is reasonable to deduce that one of the main reasons for production deficiency is the lack of cellular energy produced from the "powerhouses" called mitochondria (See diagram below of a human cell) Genetic predisposition and stress are major factors. How then can we fix the "powerhouses" that have "burnt out"? Since I recovered fully, my explanation and solution are worth your consideration.

NADH and Q10 - The "Brain Fuels" It has been establised by scientists that the trillions of "powerhouses" called mitochondria in our brain cells require two important "fuels" to make them work. They are the coenzymes Q10 and NADH. Our brain produces these molecules but bad genes and stress can deplete their supplies causing deficiency. When this happens, production of cellular energy drops thus causing the ribosomes or "factories" to drop production of neurotransmitters leading to ANDS. When the central nervous system and autonomic nervous system are starved of neurotransmitters, the result is brain and organs malfunctioning. Even the endocrine and immune systems are affected. Fortunately, scientifically formulated bioavailable supplements of Q10 and NADH can be purchased. The Amygdala Factor One brain "organ" called the amygdala is essential for our survival because it elicits the "fight or flight" responses to perceived threats. Some people are born with an overactive amygdala making it difficult of the person's brain to return to "resting mode" after an excitable event. For others, pressures of life taxes the amygdala to use up more neurotransmitters than it can produce. Thus a person may complain that he is fatigued but his brain is still "active". Fortunately, anti-anxiety medications like lorazepam can sedate the amygdala to resting mode. If the need be, this drug will allow the person to get a good night's sleep. During sound sleep, I surmise that the human brain synthesises Q10 and NADH. Would it suffice to take just this medication alone? My experience says no. I am convinced that mine was 80% genetic precipitated. One should not be alarmed taking anti anxiety medication even on a daily basis as a diabetic is very much "addicted" to insulin daily. The CFS Solution Multivitamin + Q10 + NADH + Anti-Anxiety Medication (75mg daily) (10mg daily) (if necessary) Q10 is easily availabe from health shops but I purchase NADH online. Scientific Backing and Clinical Studies Clinical studies of those taking NADH supplements have shown increased brain activity (see SPECT PHOTOS). Also clinical studies with 205 depressed patients saw an increase production of the neurotransmitters serotonin, dopomine and noradrenalin. My friend's wife who suffered severe postnatal depression for 9 years and on maximum dosage of antidepressants, recovered completely within 2 months taking NADH in 2006. She came off the antidepressants easily with no withdrawal symptoms. Notice the role of NADH in the production of cellular energy called ATP (adenosine triphosphate) in the animated diagrams below: (courtesy of Prof Terry of University of Connecticut,US)

Conclusion This CFS Solution is a result of real life experience and years of research on the part of the author. I am confident that with this solution, I will always stay on top of this predisposed health problem. It's 3 years now from the last recovery. Those who used it and recovered are still in good health. The solution may sound simplistic but remember, sailors in the past who suffered from death dealing scurvy, were easily cured after taking lemons. This formula is also affordable. You have nothing to lose if you have been going all over the place to seek a "cure". Good health to you !!!
