Introduction When I was about 10 years of age, I was saddened to lose one of my older brothers from suidical depression and another still suffering paranoia schizophrenia to this day. Yes, I wanted answers. I gained some insight after studying abnormal psychology at university. At 25 years of age, I got a taste of ME/CFS ie Chronic Fatigue Syndrome that was so debilitating that my life's activities were reduced by 80%. Medical specialists couldnt help me. It was an alternative treatment for one month that brought me back to my bubbly self. From 1983 till now, I have suffered another 3 relapses lasting more than a year each but each time, I got out with alternative treatments. Now, I can say I fully discern the genetic predisposition of my my family to mental health issues and using my latest formula has kept me on top and helped another sister of mine and friends.

ME/CFS - As I See It The CDC of USA still considers the cause of ME/CFS as "unknown". However, scientists will agree with me that the brains of ME/CFS sufferers are deficient in the various types of neurotransmitters thus causing the central nervous system (CNS) and autonomic nervous system (ANS) to under perform or even malfunction. I shall call this Acute Neurotransmitters Deficiency Syndrome (ANDS) which accounts for the wide spectrum of symptoms such as negative thinking to suicidal thoughts playing in the mind like "spoilt record", lack of concentration, sleeplessness, debilitating fatigue, depression and etc. It is therefore reasonable to assume that the "factories" of the "brain organs" are not producing sufficient neurotransmitters because they are not getting sufficient cellular energy from the "powerhouses" called mitochondria (See diagram below of a human cell) These powerhouses are not producing enough energy because of genetic reasons and stress. How can we use "bioenergetics" knowledge to fix the "powerhouses" and "factories" so that they can resume optimal output again? I have the answers!

NADH - The "Brain Fuel" It has been establised by scientists that two important "fuels" make the "powerhouses" work. They are the coenzymes Q10 and NADH. They are produced in the human brain but bad genes and stress can deplete their supplies causing deficiency. When this happens, production of cellular energy drops thus causing the "factories" to synthesise less neurotransmitters leading to brain malfunctioning. Therefore the manifestation of symptoms correspond to the level of deficiencies of neurotransmitters in the brain. Fortunately, Japanese scientists have been able to extract natural Q10 from living organisms and Professor Birkmayer of USA has been successful in manufacturing the exact bioavailable form of NADH. The Amygdala Factor One brain "organ" called the amygdala is essential for our survival because it elicits the "fight or flight" responses to perceived threats. Some people can be born with an overactive amygdala organ making it difficult of this organ to return to "resting mode" after an excitable event. For others, pressures of life can turn into "perceived threats" causing the amygdala to use up more brain neurotransmitters than it can produce. Thus a person may complain that he is fatigued but his brain is still "active". Fortunately again, a prescription sedative called lorazepam is available and proven to be effective to get the amygdala back to resting mode. This is important so that the person can get a good night sleep. During sound sleep, I surmise that the human brain synthesises Q10 and NADH. Hence this sedativeful sleep should be viewed as medication even if a person has to take it daily just as a diabetic requires insulin daily. The ME/CFS Solution Multivitamin + Q10 + NADH + Lorazepam (75mg daily) (10mg daily) (1-2mg bedtime) Recommend purchase of NADH directly from Prof Birkmayer, the founder from US online Scientific Backing and Clinical Studies Clinical studies of those taking NADH supplements have shown increased brain activity (see SPECT PHOTOS). Also clinical studies with 205 depressed patients saw an increase production of the neurotransmitters serotonin, dopomine and noradrenalin. My friend's wife who suffered severe postnatal depression for 9 years and on maximum dosage of antidepressants, recovered completely within 2 months taking NADH in 2006. She came off the antidepressants easily with no withdrawal symptoms (note: Most ME/CFS sufferers do not benefit from antidepressants because the sufferers' brains are deficient of countless types of neurotransmitters. On 16 Jan 2008, CNN reported that "antidepressants may not work"). Notice the role of NADH in the production of cellular energy called ATP (adenosine triphosphate) in the animated diagrams below: (courtesy of Prof Terry of University of Connecticut,US)

Conclusion I have been in and out of the ME/CFS "dungeon" four times over the last three decades. I have been able to come out with a plausible solution to ME/CFS from my own experience. This solution may sound simplistic but remember, sailors in the past who suffered from death dealing scurvy, were easily cured after taking lemons. I am happy for those who choose to try out my ME/CFS solution and recovered! A sister of mine down with ME/CFS symptoms for a few months in late 2007 recovered completely to lead a normal life again. The formula is also very affordable. Good health to you !!!
